LONG LAKE
Created by glaciers, Long Lake spans eleven miles and reaches depths of 59ft. Public boat launches in both Harrison and Brighton, as well as numerous boat rental facilities make for quick and easy ways to enjoy a day out on the lake tubing, water skiing, fishing, or just the casual cruise around. Motor boating not your thing, but still want to get out on the water? Grab a kayak and paddle around the protected calm waters of the cove. While Long Lake is home to a wide variety of fish, most plentiful are Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Salmon, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Perch.
LOCAL TOWNS
The three towns surrounding the lake (Harrison, Bridgton, Naples) provide just the right balance of charm and activities should you decide to venture out of the lake house. Warm sunny days will lead you straight to one of the many ice cream shops, patio restaurants, pontoon rental shops, driving range, mini-golf or drive-in movie theatre. Feeling really adventurous? Take a seaplane for some breathtaking views of the surrounding Maine wilderness. Rainy days are no problem either with movie theatres, restaurants, brewery, shops and multiple arcades to keep the whole family entertained.
